Charlemagne Wine Club - 2014 Tastings

Monday 17 February 2014

Bordeaux presented by Paul Mapplebeck

The price of good quality claret continues to rise to eye-watering levels, especially for mature vintages. Can we still indulge our taste for fine claret without facing bankruptcy?

Paul Mapplebeck will show us what can be done through buying wine from unregarded chateaux in good years, from previously neglected communes and from supermarket own brands.

With wines from Margaux, Pomerol and St Emilion, amongst others, and vintages from 2000 - 2009, this is sure to be an interesting and indulgent evening, with not a wet eye in the house.
