A new year and a return to tradition........ well, it's becoming a tradition for
Paul Mapplebeck to open his cellar of fine claret for our delectation. This time we will be going back through the years from 2005 to 1990 whilst also moving around the appellations with their differing combinations of grape varieties. We will be awash with Parker points as our pilgrimage takes us from St Emilion via Pomerol to the communes of the Haut Medoc. Châteaux Monbousquet, de Sales, Poujeaux, Haut Batailley, Cos Labory and D'Issan will prepare the stage for the 96 point rated Château Leoville Poyferré 1990 from St Julien. |
