Fine Wines of Alsace presented by Paul Mapplebeck
Alsace makes some of the world’s greatest white wines, ideal to accompany its very individual cooking.
Paul Mapplebeck is a great enthusiast for these full bodied and often underrated wines. He will present a number of wines from his personal collection. These will include an example of the Vendanges Tardive style and two of the rare Sélections de Grains Noble produced in limited quantities in exceptional years and at a price !
The line up will be:
2000 Pinot Blanc Vielles Vignes (Meyer-Fonne)
2000 Muscat D’Alsace (Bott-Geyl)
2000 Riesling (Marcel Deiss)
2001 Tokay Pinot Gris (Paul Zwick)
1997 Tokay Pinot Gris Vendanges Tardives (Schoffit)
1989 Tokay Pinot Gris – Cuvée Clarisse (Schlumberger) Sélection de Grains Nobles
2001 Gewurtztraminer (Paul Zwick)
1997 Gewurtztraminer – Cuvée Anne (Schlumberger) Sélection de Grains Nobles
An evening not to be missed with Paul bringing his uniquely individual slant to the history of the Alsace wine industry.
