Iberia presented by John Douglas

Duero, Douro .... different spelling..... same river. But what of the wines ?
On its epic 900km journey from the mountains of northern Spain to the Portuguese
Atlantic this river passes through one of Spain's fastest developing wine regions,
the Ribera del Duero.
Throwing a sideways glance towards areas like Rueda, it flows along the border of
the two countries until it finally creates Portugal's most established region, the
Douro, famous for its fortified wines but with a growing reputation for stunning red wines.
John Douglas has selected the wines and will be our guide to the fruits of this vinous river.
