Chile presented by David Carter

Our supermarket shelves have shown us that Chilean wines are popular and offer consistent quality and great value for money, but do they offer the character and complexity we have come to expect when paying more for similar wines from Europe?

To give you an opportunity to discover if this country of geographical extremes can deliver more than just "fresh, fruity and drinkable", David has selected a mix of young and slightly older vintages of a number of grape varieties so that you may compare for yourselves the relative merits of wines retailing under £10 with those costing more than twice the price.

Does more cash make a better splash?
