Charlemagne Wine Club - 2016 Tastings
16th October 2016
A few weeks ago, as the birds flew south to their winter homes, an intrepid bunch of South African winemakers flew north from Cape Town to present their latest vintages to an eager London audience.
South Africa: Sunshine in a Bottle with David Carter
Their journey was worthwhile.
These young producers on their small farms are making seriously good wine from Chardonnay, Chenin Blanc and Pinot Noir among other varieties, and we'll taste some from rising stars Keermont and Crystallum as well as from the more established Bouchard Finlayson.
The evening will conclude with one of South Africa's icon wines, Meerlust Rubicon.
