For our next tasting on Monday 20th June, we aim to get you in the mood for summer with a selection of sparkling wines to titillate your tastebuds.
There will be a Champagne, some Crémants from other parts of France, a Cava from Spain, an Italian Prosecco and something from England or Wales. From further afield, South Africa, the USA and Canada will feature. Did you know they make sparkling wine in Canada?
The evening will be a self-pour event with two bottles of each wine and the chance to mingle and chat, so bring your friends!
Basic notes for each wine will be provided and also a plate of cheeses to aid your contemplation while you assess which style of wine suits your palate best. Chardonnay and Pinot Noir blends predominate but other grape varieties will also get a look in.
