Charlemagne Wine Club has been running for almost 50 years – so we must be doing something right. The club was founded in 1974 by Richard Rogers who ran a wine business in Pitshanger Lane and had a particular interest in Burgundian wines. Charlemagne the Great was King of Burgundy – hence the Club’s name.
For an explanation of the early days of our club, please read John Ducker’s historical appreciation from the 1990s.
