This month Nick Forth will be presenting a range of Italian wines made from grapes that are little-known outside the regions where they are grown, including nascetta, pignolo and pelaverga.
While they may be new to many of us, they have recently received plaudits from luminaries such as Jancis Robinson, leading sommeliers and in Decanter magazine, with descriptions including
‘intrinsically appetising’
‘summer in a glass’
‘opulently fruity…with a mouthwatering freshness’
‘a superb way to explore the variety’.
And they’re all readily available from local merchants.
