The name Côtes du Rhône conjures up the sensation of warm balmy days on sunlit hillsides as the cicadas sing, and Van Gogh evenings under clear starry skies, all washed down with a fruity red wine tingling with peppery spice.
While we can’t promise the cicadas or starry skies we can provide the sunshine in a bottle as Gilbert Winfield, an accredited Rhône tutor, makes a welcome return to Charlemagne. Gilbert will be showing wines from the very different landscapes of the south and north of the region, from Villages to Cru. Do join us to taste these fruity Grenache and Syrah wines, and discover the freshness that can be found amongst the white blends.
You can find out more about Gilbert here – https://www.wineeducators.com/awe-members-directory/gilbertwinfield – but suffice to say he knows his wine!
Details on attending CWC tastings can be found on our About CWC wine tastings page.
