2025 – September: Marlborough, New Zealand

Monday 15 September Start: 8pm
Upstairs at The Forester, 2 Leighton Road, W13 9EP

Tamra Washington is both the Chief Winemaker at Seresin Estate in Marlborough, New Zealand and, with her husband Simon Kelly, the proprietor and Chief Winemaker at Kelly Washington Wines.

Seresin Estate is a long established, bio-dynamically managed property focused on its portfolio of single vineyard wines from its Raupo Creek site, whereas Tamra and Simon seek the most unique and diverse parcels of independently farmed, high-quality fruit for their wines; focusing on old vines, high density planting, vineyards of altitude, and organic and biodynamic farming around Marlborough and further south in Central Otago.

What differences do these different sites and winemaking philosophies show when you have the same winemaker bringing her skills to bear in this selection of wines and techniques from both sources?

Add to the mix a couple of amphora fermented wines and you have all the ingredients for an interesting and fruity tasting.

Come along and join us to taste the difference with Pinot Gris, Sauvignon Blanc, Syrah and Pinot Noir all making an appearance.

Still at the excellent price of £25 payable on the door, cash preferred . Bookings, as usual, via email.

In the pipeline: tastings from Ealing Wine Cellars, Czech wines, Northern Portugal and wines from Slovakia. If you have any other regions, grapes, producers you’d like to taste …. let us know.

Details on attending CWC tastings can be found on our About CWC wine tastings page.
