For this month’s tasting it is a pleasure to welcome Lucia Dovalova and Darren Kirkham from The Naughty Grape.
Their mission is to share Slovakia’s hidden gems with wine enthusiasts, and to highlight the country’s rich wine-making heritage. They personally visit Slovakian vineyards, and work exclusively with family-run wineries that produce small-batch wines using low-intervention, sustainable and organic methods.
Come along to taste the flavours of this country, new to many of us, and discover the Slovak Tokaj tradition dating back to the early 12th century, including the region’s most famous wine the Tokaj Aszú made from sweet, honeyed, botrytised grapes.
